The Business Resources You Need with Expert Guidance
At GRCA, our Small Business Coordinator is well connected to all the right resources that will help your small business. Our goal is to help you grow, sustain, and succeed in Berks County. By connecting with our bilingual small business coordinator you will have access to many free resources such as:
Real Estate Options – We can link you up with commercial properties that can accommodate your business needs. Whether it’s downtown in the heart of Reading or in the Route 78 Industrial Corridor, we will assist you with finding the right location.
Workforce Training – Through our Chamber division, we offer in-house training solutions for your employees and managers.
Counseling – We have a partnership with the local SCORE chapter who offers free and confidential mentors to business owners and entrepreneurs. Our Small Business Coordinator is also a SCORE mentor and can advise when conducting a business visit.
Municipal, Township, Borough & State officials – We are connected with community leaders who are able to provide feedback and direction towards your business needs. We work together to help your process move along a little easier.
Financing – Our Development Fund folks can assist you with your financing needs. We provide in-house funding for businesses looking to grow. We also partner with community lenders who will assist with your funding needs.
Business to Business Introductions/Referrals – We have a Small Business Committee and a Latino Small Business Committee who are ready to assist and share their expertise. These committee members have joined our small business efforts and are willing to sit down with businesses who we refer to them. These subject matter experts also share their experiences and information through our monthly workshop for small businesses called Coffee & Convos. These events are free to attend, and we also welcome non-chamber members.
Wednesday Diversity Mixers – This has become our monthly small business signature event. Wednesday Diversity Mixers bring together a wide array of business owners and entrepreneurs who are searching to expand their business network, exchange business solutions, and hire diverse staff. This free networking event open to the public happens every first Wednesday of the month from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at a different location. Make sure to check our calendar for all locations in 2018.
