With pink pom poms in hand and the audience cheering, “You can do it, yes, you can- own your power and work your plan,” Toni Moore, Esq., stated the importance of how women need to build their most authentic self, which reinvents and helps them on their journey through life. Alvernia Women’s Council (AWC) hosted the Leadership Summit: Invest in Yourself on September 8th at Berks Nature Center, where Moore’s keynote presentation on Own Your Wow – 3 Keys to Unleash Your Power to Make Change Possible, discussed the secret sauce for women to find their success. She spoke about the importance of women owning their power to make internal change possible. She emphasized three key points: “Pow-her (pronounced power), the presence of mind, wow your now, and root for your rise,” which are essential to a greater life of fulfillment. The first key point, “Pow-her the presence of mind,” speaks to women owning their opportunities because who we are matters. Second, “Wow, your Now” women must write down goals until they reach the one they want to attain the most. Lastly, “Root for your Rise,” women must celebrate who we are and our victories.
The event kicked off with financial tips from Regina M. Rinehimer, partner at Kingsview Partners, Wyomissing, who was honored as Alvernia’s 2023 Bernardine Legacy Award winner and was the title sponsor for the event. AWC would like to thank all sponsors and presenters.
