New PA Business Reporting
The Pennsylvania Department of State has introduced a new annual report requirement for business entities, including corporations, nonprofits, LLCs, partnerships and trusts. Businesses must provide key details such as their name, jurisdiction, office addresses and leadership information. Filing deadlines vary:
- Corporations must file by June 30
- LLCs by Sept. 30
- All other entities by Dec. 31
A $7 filing fee applies, though nonprofits are exempt. Failure to comply will result in administrative dissolution or termination starting in 2027. Secretary of the Commonwealth Al Schmidt encourages online filing for faster processing and to keep business records up to date.
