Reitnouer Expansion
GRCA, through its affiliate, the Greater Berks Development Fund (GBDF), is proud to continue its long-standing partnership with Reitnouer as the company continues to expand and grow in our community. Reitnouer is North America’s largest manufacturer of aluminum flatbed trailers and currently operates two facilities in Berks County. Reitnouer has begun construction of a state-of-the-art, 468,000-square-foot facility at Pottsville Pike and Lake Shore Drive in Ontelaunee Township that will streamline operations, meet growing demand and enable Reitnouer to expand its local workforce by up to 200 jobs beyond its current 400 employees. GBDF and the Berks IDA partnered to provide $2 million in short-term loans in support of the project, with Fulton Bank providing the construction/permanent financing. This significant project, undertaken by a locally owned company, will help ensure that manufacturing will continue to be a leading industry in Berks County for years to come.
