A longtime Berks County tradition is getting a fresh new twist! GRCA’s Annual Picnic now will be known as The Picnic & Games. The event is evolving from the traditional picnic with a home run derby into a more interactive, team-focused experience designed to increase participation, connection and fun for everyone attending.
As always, guests can expect an unforgettable evening with more than 500 business professionals from across Berks County representing a wide variety of industries. This revamped experience will feature a variety of engaging games and activities throughout the evening, including the always popular Cornament, a Water Pong Tournament, MVP and team spirit competitions including interactive games featured on the large screen such as Guess Who – Berks County Edition, GRCA Shuffle, Are You Smarter Than a CEO and team relay races.
The competition is on! Do you want to see your company standing on the winners podium with the gold medal in front of the Berks County business community? This is your chance to rally your coworkers, show off your team spirit and compete for bragging rights as one of the top teams of the summer.
Get ready to represent your company at the very first GRCA Picnic & Games! Whether you’re ultra-competitive or just in it for the laughs, there are plenty of ways to jump in, earn points and show off your team spirit throughout the night.
Tournaments
Think your team has what it takes? Sign up your 2-person team by Monday, August 10 for our two featured tournaments: the 4th Annual Cornament and the Inaugural Water Pong Tournament. Tournament champions will take home a trophy, earn social media glory and secure bragging rights for the next year.
4th Annual Berks Biz Cornament
During the 4th Annual Berks Biz Cornament 16 teams will be competing for the trophy. The Cornament will kick off promptly at 5 p.m. and run in 20 minute increments per game. The winner will be announced around 8 p.m. – 8:15 p.m. once the championship has concluded.
1st Annual Berks Biz Water Pong Tournament
During the 1st Annual Berks Biz Water Pong Tournament 16 teams will be competing for the trophy. The Tournament will kick off promptly at 5 p.m. and run in 20 minute increments per game. The winner will be announced around 8 p.m. – 8:15 p.m. once the championship has concluded.
MVP Games
Starting at 5:30 p.m. and every half hour throughout the evening, compete in fast-paced games featured on the big screens across the stadium. Test your skills in games like Guess Who, GRCA Shuffle and Are You Smarter than a CEO? Winners earn 5 points for their company each round.
Team Spirit Games
Head across the concourse to take on interactive challenges like Stack Attack, Hoop It Up, Bottle Flip, Pretzel Face and Speed Pitch. Referees will be tracking the best performances all night long, with points awarded for top finishes:
10 points – 1st place
8 points – 2nd place
6 points – 3rd place
2 points – Participation
Challenger Games
Ready to call out another company head-to-head? Challenge fellow attendees throughout the night to earn extra points and build your company’s score.
- Giant Jenga – winning company earns 5 points
- Bead Battle – grab your beaded necklace at entry, then challenge others to rock-paper-scissors battles throughout the night. At the end of the event, every strand of beads collected counts as 1 point for your company.
Pep Rally Games
One company will take home the Pep Rally Prize for bringing the energy all night long. Matching outfits, creative flair, cheering on teammates and overall enthusiasm all count — so rally your coworkers and come ready to make some noise!
