Glenn Miller, Donor Relations Manager, CONCERN
Tell us a bit about yourself and your business — your role, responsibilities and anything else you’d like members to know.
I retired as CONCERN CFO last year but wanted to stay involved to support our Mission helping Kids & Families so they created a part-time Donor Relations Manager role for me. That role involves thanking donors, seeking event sponsorships & donations and being active in the Berks community which led me to GRCA. In addition, I’m the Reading Chapter Leader & Board Member for the CPENG networking group.
What inspired you to become a GRCA Ambassador, and how has the role helped you connect with the Greater Reading business community?
My new role led me to GRCA, which CONCERN wasn’t active in previously. Then when I got involved I was very impressed by the large variety of value-added services that the Chamber offers to member companies and individuals. Thus after talking to a couple Ambassadors, I decided to expand my involvement with GRCA by becoming one.
What’s one piece of advice or insight you’d share with fellow members or local business owners to help them get the most out of their GRCA membership?
To be well aware of the large variety of value-added services the Chamber offers and take advantage of them to the benefit of your business and employees.
What’s your favorite GRCA event or program, and why would you recommend it to other members?
Personally I really enjoy the networking events. Meeting new people has started leading to new relationships.
How can fellow GRCA members reach out to you for support or guidance, and what’s the best way to contact you?
I encourage fellow Members to reach out to me via my cell phone 717.887.7539 or email at GMiller@CONCERN4Kids.Org or GM82PSU1@gamil.com.
