On December 5, 2017 MRP Industrial, in a joint venture with Hillwood, broke ground on the 165-acre Hamburg Logistics Park directly off of Route 61 and I-78 at the former Perry Golf Course. The new industrial park will include three buildings totaling 1,900,000 square-feet of industrial space.
The Greater Reading Economic Partnership (GREP), a division of the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance (GRCA), has been working with the MRP Industrial team for over six years to bring this project to fruition in Berks County. Pamela J. Shupp, President of GREP, said, “we are thrilled to have MRP and Hillwood developing 1.9 million square-feet of industrial space in the Berks County market. Ready-to-go site inventory has been critical for Berks County’s economic growth and expansion of our commercial and industrial base. This is a major win for our community.”
Randy Peers, President & CEO of GRCA, said, “I can’t say enough about the great work that Pamela has done with MRP Industrial to make sure this project continued to move forward in Berks County.” Peers added, “This large industrial development affirms Berks County’s ability to attract top-notch developers and ultimately companies.”
