Alyse Mitten, Founder & President, Interlace Communications, Inc.
Tell us a bit about yourself and your business — your role, responsibilities, and anything else you’d like members to know.
I’m Alyse Mitten, founder of Interlace Communications, and I’ve spent decades walking alongside small and mid-size businesses as they grow and evolve. For years, What started with traditional marketing has grown into helping owners use AI and automation in practical, no-overwhelm ways that save time and create momentum. I love making complex things feel simple and doable.
What inspired you to become a GRCA Ambassador, and how has the role helped you connect with the Greater Reading business community?
I’ve always believed relationships come first, and being an Ambassador felt like a natural extension of that. It gives me the chance to welcome new members, make introductions and help people feel like they truly belong. That kind of connection is where good business starts. Giving of my time has always been part of me and I welcome having the opportunity to be an Ambassador for GRCA. Looking forward to meeting you.
What’s one piece of advice or insight you’d share with fellow members or local business owners to help them get the most out of their GRCA membership?
Don’t overthink it…just show up and start conversations. Ask people what they do, what they’re working on and how you might help. The simple act of being in the room opens doors. You truly never know when you’ll meet your next client, referral partner or great connection. And should you not be able to attend, sending a team member in your place keeps those doors open. You won’t regret it.
What’s your favorite GRCA event or program, and why would you recommend it to other members?
Honestly, this one is hard to choose because GRCA creates so many meaningful ways to connect, from networking events and roundtables to workshops, programs and special gatherings like The Dinner and The Annual Picnic. There’s always something happening that brings people together around shared goals and real conversation. That said, I’m especially drawn to the networking and learning events because you walk away with new ideas, new contacts and usually a few “aha” moments you can use right away.
How can fellow GRCA members reach out to you for support or guidance, and what’s the best way to contact you?
You’re going to love this. Starting February, I’m in Reading every Tuesday for Office Hours at the Center for Business Excellence from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and I’d love to meet. It’s important to grab time on my calendar at https://calendly.com/alyse-b6y/reading-meeting because there may be times I’m visiting with clients. Want to travel to Hamburg? Connect with me Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at our Hamburg office, 6 North Third Street, or on Zoom. You’re also welcome to call or text me at 484-709-6564, email alyse@iciconnect.com. And let’s not forget social media. Feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn.
Oh, and let’s not forget, you’ll see me at ribbon cuttings, networking events, lunch and learns and breakfasts. That’s just a few places you’ll see me with GRCA. Can you tell? I’m excited.
