Business and Community Advocacy Council Meeting – Workforce Development Panel

The Business and Community Advocacy Council (BCAC), hosted by the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance (GRCA), serves as a collaborative network for public and private business professionals to engage in impactful advocacy.
The BCAC is excited to be offering a Berks Workforce Development panel discussion including many of our local leaders in that industry to be moderated by Berks Career and Technology Center’s (BCTC) Education Foundation Board President Gavin Milligan. Join us for this free panel discussion featuring:
- Dr. Mike Stauffer from the Berk Career and Technology Center
- Eric Kahler from the Reading Muhlenberg Career and Technology Center
- Dan Fogarty from the Berks County Workforce Development Board
- Keith Stamm from the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance
They will discuss the current issues facing Berks County workforce and the career and technology to workforce pipeline.

Networking Event with Generation Impact
GRCA hosted a panel discussion and networking event for Generation Impact students as part of our Meet Greater Reading talent strategy. The event connected students with local business leaders, offering valuable career advice and strengthening their ties to the community. All participants were originally from Berks County, though many now attend college outside the region. The goal: to encourage them to return to, or remain in, the area after graduation.


MFG IP Workshop: Building the Future; High School Internships in Manufacturing
This event highlighted how Brentwood Industries added a rotational internship experience in place of a traditional high school internship program to enhance the learning experience for students.

EHS Roundtable Meeting
We held our second Environmental Health & Safety roundtable meeting of the year. Kyle Schweitzer, Project Manager at Entech Engineering, presented the complexities of stormwater management. The discussion focused on proactive stormwater planning, compliance and operational efficiency.
