A longtime Berks County tradition is getting a fresh new twist! GRCA’s Annual Picnic now will be known as The Picnic & Games. The event is evolving from the traditional picnic with a home run derby into a more interactive, team-focused experience designed to increase participation, connection and fun for everyone attending.
While the home run derby remained a beloved tradition, we found that not all attendees felt comfortable participating in a baseball-focused competition. This year, we are reimagining the event to create more opportunities for networking, team building and friendly competition that everyone can enjoy—whether you’re athletic, competitive or simply looking to connect with the business community in a relaxed atmosphere.
As always, guests can expect an unforgettable evening with more than 500 business professionals from across Berks County representing a wide variety of industries. The event remains one of the best opportunities of the year to build new relationships and reconnect with familiar faces before summer ends.
This revamped experience will feature a variety of engaging games and activities throughout the evening, including the always popular Cornament, a Water Pong Tournament, MVP and team spirit competitions including interactive games featured on the large screen such as Guess Who – Berks County Edition, GRCA Shuffle, Are You Smarter Than a CEO and team relay races.
And of course—the competition is on. Do you want to see your company standing on the winners podium with the gold medal in front of the Berks County business community? This is your chance to rally your coworkers, show off your team spirit and compete for bragging rights as one of the top teams of the summer. Teams can earn points throughout the evening by participating in games, winning competitions and dressing up to showcase their company spirit. The team with the most points at the end of the night will take home the gold and earn their place on the winners podium.
